The Infinity Mirror

There was a certain helplessness to the thing
flailing around in mock agony
something sought after and gained
without ever have experienced the hunt.
There was a calousness
towards the real
as though experience was to be laughed at
a joke.
“All that’s for people with nothing better to do
too much time on their hands.
Leave the important stuff to me
I’ve watched myself in mirrors for hours
and hours
and hours
and…”
